Protocol updates, document versions and launch milestones for Cargo Finance and its vaults. Dates are in UTC.
Genesis Vault: West African Grade 1
Genesis Vault pages simplified. The asset is West African Grade 1 cocoa, priced off ICE London Cocoa. NAV figures are shown in USD, with a new farm-to-NAV chart.
Multi-asset docs
Documentation reframed around real-world assets in general: soft commodities such as cocoa, coffee and sugar, precious metals such as gold, and other receipted, exchange-priced goods. Platform pages now describe how every Cargo vault works; cocoa details sit with the Genesis Vault (cvCOCOA), the first vault.
Docs refresh
Documentation rewritten for the v5 design: vault shares, reference-price NAV, the Genesis curve, batch auctions, the Liquidity Bridge and the fee schedule. FAQs expanded to cover the rescheduled Genesis Auction, minimums, audits, how Cargo earns and how to spot impersonators. New Research and Glossary pages.
Genesis Auction rescheduled
The Genesis Auction for the Genesis Vault (Cycle 1), originally planned for 14–23 Oct 2026, has been rescheduled. New dates will be announced here and on the official channels. The terms published in Launch Pack v5.0 (curve from $4.793 to $5.118 per share, $500,000 minimum, $1,500,000 cap) may be updated with the new dates.
Launch Pack v5.0
Direct allocation into receipted goods, priced off a published reference. For the Genesis Vault, the KG unit is renamed cvCOCOA (Cargo Vault Cocoa) and NAV is set from a published reference price. The v4 coupon tiers, 8-day rotations and Sun 11 → Sun 18 Oct dates are withdrawn. New documents: Market Maker Offer (CV1-MM) and Liquidity Provider and Listing Offer (CV1-LPL).
Whitepaper v4.0 and research
Public whitepaper (CV1-WP) published: the collateral object, the backing rule, proof of reserve, haircuts, the curve mathematics and the eight tests for any commodity RWA. The mechanism holds under v5; its economics are being re-based. Three public research notes on RFQ, auctions and distribution were published alongside it: see Research.
Arc mainnet
Circle’s USDC-native chain, Arc, launched mainnet. Arc is the target home for Cargo vault shares, starting with cvCOCOA, with Base as the fallback.
First cycle closed
The Genesis Vault originator’s first cycle closed: the originator bought 1,020 t of West African Grade 1 cocoa in June 2026, then shipped and sold it against ICE London Cocoa.
Coming Up for the Genesis Vault: after Genesis settles, a batch auction every 12 days, starting with Batch 2. First redemptions strike at Batch 4. A permissioned cvCOCOA/USDC pool is planned from Batch 2 and a Morpho lending market after Batch 4. Dates follow the rescheduled Genesis and will be confirmed in the term sheet.
