Why It Exists
Trade finance is short of money, not of trades: the global gap is about $2.5tn (ADB, 2023). Goods in a warehouse are valuable, but a distant lender struggles to verify them, own them, enforce a claim and sell them at a known price. Cargo makes the physical unit itself into collateral that travels: checked, owned, pledged, priced and settled in USDC.How It Works
Originate
An approved originator buys the goods and delivers them to a warehouse under an independent collateral manager.
Receipt and Mint
Each lot is weighed, graded and signed for. Shares are minted 1:1. No receipt, no mint.
Sell Below NAV
The vault sells new shares in a Genesis Auction, then in regular sealed batch auctions.
Hold, Rotate or Exit
Keep the discount, recycle it every batch, redeem at NAV, exit instantly through the bridge, or take delivery.
